Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and Assam police brought them directly to Sutarkandi land port from Assam’s Silchar detention camp. The Indian law enforcers then contacted Bangladesh’s border guard and handed over the detainees around 4pm. According to BGB and police sources, the returned Bangladeshis had illegally entered India through different border points of Assam and Tripura states. After having served different jail terms, the Indian government has taken the initiative to deport them. They were detained and had served different jail terms in Indian prison.
