A Libyan passenger was stopped at the airport, when he was found in possession of a large amount of water-pipe tobacco21 kilograms of water-pipe tobacco was seized by Customs yesterday, at the Malta International Airport, when a Libyan passenger, passed through the Green Channel at arrivals.According to Customs, the water-pipe tobacco originated in Libya and the passenger, who was intercepted by Customs, arrived in Malta via Istanbul. Taxes due on the tobacco amounted to €1,526, they added.The case was passed on to the Police Economic Crime Unit and the passenger is expected to be arraigned in court today.
