In an unfortunate incident, a big blue whale was reportedly found stranded on Meghavaram beach in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh . The deep-sea creature, measuring approximately 25 feet in length and weighing five tons, attracted a crowd of villagers who gathered at the beach to witness the rare sight.Local fishermen were surprised to see the unusual occurrence of a blue whale being stranded on a beach in Andhra Pradesh.The discovery comes amidst heavy rainfall in the southern state over the past few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Srikakulam and seven other places in Andhra Pradesh received 7 cm of rain in the last 24 hours. According to the World Wildlife Federation (WWF), these majestic beings have stomachs capable of holding one ton of food, and they need to consume around four tons of food each day.Known for their vocal abilities, blue whales are considered the loudest animals on the planet, with calls reaching an astounding 188 decibels (louder than a jet engine which reaches 140 decibels). Their low-frequency whistles can be heard for hundreds of miles and are believed to be used to attract other blue whales.
