2674 prisoners released from jail under presidential pardon
CAIRO- 26 April 2021: The Prisons Sector released, Monday 2,674 prisoners from Jail under a presidential pardon issued in the occasion of the Sinai Liberation Day. (143) of (2021) regarding amnesty usually applied for the prisoners who have fulfilled the conditions of pardon after examining all files of inmates in prisons. Presidential pardons are customary to national and religious occasions. These crimes comprise arms trafficking, terrorism, drug trafficking of more than 10 kilograms, “heroin” trade regardless of the quantity, and revenge killing. Thousands of prisoners have been released over the past years as per a presidential pardon.
