The Nigerian Correctional Service Arms Training School (CSATS) has passed out 282 junior personnel after its 9th Basic Recruits Course in Imo State. This brings the total number of Conventional Personnel trained by the institution since its inception in 2004 to 80,797. Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa, disclosed this during the Passing Out Parade held at the CSATS training ground in Owerri. Nababa who was represented by the Service’s Zonal Controller for Zone “E”, Sunanu Kinane, commended the Commandant, directing staff and instructors for adapting their new curriculum to contemporary realities of the Nigerian Correctional Service Act 2019. He said:” Any act of disloyalty or disobedience to constituted authority will be decisively dealt with in line with the Nigerian Correctional Service Act 2019 and the Standing Order “.
