Two CCTV cameras at the homeowner’s house were focused on the homeowner’s own property, but because of their positioning they also picked up activity around the Sherman house. The Sherman house is on Old Colony Rd., which runs east off Bayview, south of Highway 401. The Sherman case was and is one of the more high-profile murder cases in recent Canadian memory. Despite a rash of break ins (160 over the previous year) in the area, not many neighbours have cameras (the Sherman house had none).
