A 29-year-old man drowned after jumping into a river to help three kids who were swept away by the current on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Manjeet Singh spotted the children struggling in the Kings River in California, United States, as per NBC-affiliate KSEE the day after. Upon seeing the children, one of them an 8-year-old, Singh immediately sprang into action and swam towards them. A rescue team later found Singh’s body beside a nearby brush following 40 minutes of searching, as per the report. While her parents were not at the river during the incident, her friend’s parents were with the three kids.
