The president presided over the oath-taking ceremony at State House, Nairobi on Friday, June 4. Uhuru appointed seven judges to the Court of Appeal and others to the Employment and Labour Relations Court, and the Environment and Land Court. Appearing on KTN News’ Crossfire last night, Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi bore similar sentiments, saying the president holds no power to pick and reject judges as he so wished.
