Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers shot dead a 40 year-old businessman, Tasiu Tilde, while attempting to kidnap him in Tilden Fulani, about 100 kilometers from Bauchi, The PUNCH has learnt. An eyewitness who refused to be named told our Correspondent that the gunmen invaded the area and shot endlessly to scare people away. “It was in the process that the late Tasiu was shot and killed while the gunmen ran away having missed their target of kidnap,” he said. The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview on Wednesday.
