Five members of a family have been killed after a thunderbolt struck a gas line connection in Lakkhanabanda village under Gopalganj upazila of Sylhet district. The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained yet. Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Assistant Director Dinomoni Sharma said: “A gas line adjacent to the house exploded after thunderbolt struck it around 3am on Sunday. “Later, the five people died when the fire engulfed the house. He said: “Of them, two women were pregnant.”
