A kindergarten-through-eighth-grade school with class sizes of fewer than 20 students is about half a mile away. And the small business district with its deli, Italian restaurant, sushi restaurant and apothecary (not drugstore) is about a 10-minute walk. The second floor is reached by a staircase with a wrought-iron railing; the landing offers a bird’s-eye view of the living room. The second bedroom has apple green walls with chair-rail molding, and the third and smallest bedroom has been used as an office.
