CONTRIBUTED PHOTOCOTABATO CITY: Six members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) surrendered in Maguindanao, the military said on Monday. The six BIFF militants handed over the following rifles: two M16A1, one M14, and three cal. Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, commander of JTF Central, called on the remaining members of the BIFF to "return to the folds of the law and enjoy a peaceful life with their loved ones." Uy said they will continue to hunt down the remaining terrorists and extremists in central Mindanao. Since January 2021, a total of 145 BIFF militants were neutralized by the troops, including 100 who were killed in encounters.
