7 Pangasinan fishermen missing – Coast Guard


MANILA, Philippines — Seven fishermen remain missing after they left the shores of Dasol, Pangasinan for a fishing expedition last January 6, 2020, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Monday. ADVERTISEMENTThe fishermen, who were onboard F/B Narem 2, were expected to return to Infanta Pangasinan last Tuesday, Jan. 14, as reported by the owner of the vessel, Christine Macaraig. Other missing crew members are Roderick Montemayor, Homar Maglantay, Ejay Dela Cruz, Jerome Maglantay, Larry Legaspi and Jefferson Bernabe, the PCG said. Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has deployed the multi-mission offshore vessel, BRP Lapu-Lapu to help search for, and rescue the fishermen. the PCG station in Pangasinan has already advised local fishermen to be on the look-out for the missing fishing boat and inform the nearest PCG unit about their location for assistance.
