Much of the equipment on display has either featured in or drawn directly from lessons learned during Operation Sindoor, the May 7–10 conflict with Pakistan. At its centre was a glass-cased integrated operational command centre, visually depicting the conduct of Operation Sindoor through the coordinated use of systems such as BrahMos and the S-400 air defence system. Mechanised columns displayed BMP-II infantry combat vehicles and the Nag missile system (Tracked) Mk-2, followed by Special Forces detachments operating Ajayketu, Randhwaj and Dhawansak vehicles. EU contingentIn a first, a European Union military contingent carrying the flags of Operations Atalanta and Aspides participated in the parade, marking the EU’s maiden appearance in a military parade outside Europe. Overall, 29 aircraft, including fighters, transport aircraft and helicopters, took part in the fly-past.
