8 arrested in crackdown of Yilan-based fraud ringTAIPEI, Taiwan -- Police have arrested eight suspects who allegedly participated in an Yilan-based telephone fraud targeting mainland Chinese victims, the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) said. Police arrested the eight suspects, including the alleged ringleader, in a raid conducted on Aug. 23 in Yilan's Sansing Township.
