A total of 91 graduating students of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, on Saturday bagged first class during the institution’s combined convocation. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Edoumiekumo, disclosed this at the 5th combined convocation of the University held at the Amassoma campus of the institution. According to the Vice-Chancellor, the 5th combined convocation featured a total of 15,811 graduands comprising 2014/15, 2015/16 and the 2016/17 academic sessions. Edoumiekumo commended Governor Seriake Dickson for giving the institution and education a boost through the funding of infrastructural projects and others. The pro-chancellor noted that the institution has the enabling environment to serve as an avenue for intellectual and capacity development.
