A medley of Top 40 songs, R&B hits and musical tunes from The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady provided the soundtrack for Michael Kors' upbeat fall 2018 collection held at the Lincoln Center. "A Valentine to personal style," read Kors' show notes and by personal style he meant a whole gamut of ways of dressing. Yes, the uptown chic Michael Kors woman with smart day clothes, rich cocktail dresses and fancy evening frocks was omnipresent but so too were other personas. Argyle sweaters, rugby striped scarves, varsity tees, classic trench coats, fur jackets, flounces, trains, frills ad infinitum. Kors wants to dress every woman and he wants to do so with a playfulness and an upbeat charge.
