It makes business sense that Burger King, starting from behind, would go for something distinctive to drive app downloads. Burger King gets the app download, along with payment activation, while the customer gets one of the best deals ever. We did three combination searches: whopper + mcdonalds, burgerking + mcdonalds, and burgerking + app. When Burger King’s parent reports results early next year, we will be checking the trend in comparable store sales for the Burger King brand. But Burger King has a publicly traded US franchisee: Carrols (TAST).
