A Rising U.S. Economy Lifts Emerging Markets Brazil, China, Even Mexico


According to the World Bank, a 1% increase in U.S. GDP next year translates into an additional 0.6% growth rate for emerging markets. Real GDP growth in the emerging markets is forecast to hit 4.2% this year, followed by 4.6% in 2018. Emerging markets are forecast to contribute 1.6 percentage points to global growth in 2017, which is about 60% of global growth.
