The refs were awful – and they DID NOT determine the outcome of the game – and we saw it right off the bat. I guarantee you that if Marcin Gortat’s shot had gone in there would not have been a foul called and that’s just soft officiating. I get that they want to keep some kind of “flow” to a game but it’s one of the most consistently bad things officials do and it’s either a sign they aren’t sure or they’re just too indecisive. He knocked the ball into the stands and My Favourite Marcin goes ass over teakettle to the ground on the baseline. Pascal Siakam basically pushed Nogueira away from Gortat before he could help the guy up and it was a pretty cool moment.
