I have recently been the victim of identity fraud, where someone took out three mobile phone contracts on the same day with Vodafone, ID Mobile and Three Mobile. I spent many hours on the phone to the mobile networks, as well as credit report services Check My File, Experian, and Equifax. But the Three Mobile account is still on my credit file, and my credit rating has dropped by over 100 points since this started. This is a short statement which you can use to add further information to an entry on your credit report. That said, all of the mobile phone companies are at fault for allowing a mobile phone contract to be taken out using fake bank details.
