"Many development institutions are saying Sligo is where it's at but Sligo isn't Galway. "As it stands, of course, the main infrastructure going into Sligo is just making it easier to get to Dublin." The Western Railway Corridor was a north-south railway line running from Limerick, Ennis and Athenry, to Claremorris and Collooney. "I tried to bring Sligo in because the full network benefit of the rail link would extend all the way up there. But you can't have the greenway debate until you've resolved the railway debate."
