A bizarre accidentThe Giza Security Directorate’s emergency operations room received a report that a passenger bus overturning near the Ring Road exit leading to Ahmed Orabi Street in Mohandessin. Initial investigations indicate that the driver lost control of the steering wheel due to excessive speed while descending the Ring Road exit, causing the bus to veer off course, collide with the building, and remain suspended. The bus had veered off course, crashed through the metal railing, and remained wedged between the bridge and the walls of the residential building. Recovery effortsThe Giza Traffic Department deployed heavy cranes and equipment to attempt to recover and secure the suspended bus, amidst heightened security measures and traffic diversions to ensure smooth traffic flow.
