I RECENTLY went to seek treatment at a government clinic in Putrajaya for a bad tooth. With the increasing number of daily Covid-19 cases, I guess this new SOP was understandable. Agitated, I asked them how they expect their patients to endure discomfort and pain for six months while waiting for treatment. Or in my case, they will also do a temporary filling, if possible, while I wait for the next appointment. But waiting six months for a dental treatment is not only unreasonable, it is downright ridiculous, no matter how much painkillers are provided.
