After all, we are a society that erupted in rage when a boy from an elite school bullied his classmate. Some even insist that children should also be held criminally liable as they advocate for the lowering of the age of criminal responsibility. But for them to actually engage in forced physical contact at that age is already a sign that something is not right. The maid molestation confession, made up or otherwise, tests our sense of good and right, and our rational capacities as human beings. And it appears many of us are failing.
