Atiqul Islam, an office assistant of the passport office, was apprehended for demanding and receiving a bribe of Tk21,000 on Monday, reports UNB. ACC officials said Sahimuddin, a retired school teacher made a complaint to the commission that the office assistant demanded additional money from him for delivering his passport in a short time. Following the complaint, a team of ACC caught Atiqul red handed while taking the amount as bribe. Later, he was taken to the ACC district coordinator office for interrogation.
