The director general of the Inquiry and Investigation Wing-2 of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Md Motahar Hossain, fell victim to a mugging in Mohammadpur in the capital on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 11pm on Saturday on the pavement beside Mohammadpur Residential Model College. In connection with the incident, another government official filed a case on behalf of the victim with Mohammadpur police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Tejgaon Division) Ibn Mizan confirmed the incident, saying, “Last night, an ACC director general fell victim to a mugging in Mohammadpur. Another government official has filed a case with Mohammadpur police station on behalf of the victim.”
