ACP transferred for ‘hand’ in Jayaram murder case


An assistant commissioner of police of the Rachakonda police has been transferred with immediate effect for his alleged involvement in the Chugurupati Jayaram murder case. Ibrahimpatnam ACP S Mallareddy was transferred to the Rachakonda Police Commissioner's office. This came after allegations that the ACP was in touch with Rakesh Reddy, the prime accused in the Jayaram murder came out. It was earlier reported in The Hindu that an inspector of the Hyderabad City Police was transferred to the Police Control Room after his name surfaced in connection with the murder case. Jayaram was allegedly murdered after the prime accused Rakesh Reddy got into an altercation with the victim who was confined at the latter's residence at Road Number 10 in Jubilee Hills.
