The cyber threat curve in India is increasing rapidly, and artificial intelligence is accelerating both sides of this battle. As India becomes more digitally connected through banking, payments, commerce, and government platforms, the attack surface for cybercriminals has expanded just as quickly. Attackers utilize AI models to automate many of the steps that previously required human intervention. As AI drives the creation of more believable fake messages and identities, previously trusted indicators of authenticity are rendered useless. Cybercriminals will continue to use AI to perpetrate and scale their deceptions, while those who defend against these attacks will use AI to identify, predict and respond to potential attacks.
