AM Amin Uddin appointed Bangladesh’s Attorney General


President Md Abdul Hamid made the appointment on Thursday, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs said in a statement. The post fell vacant when Alam, the longest-serving chief legal officer of the state, died on Sept 27 at the age of 71 after suffering from COVID-19 illness. Amin Uddin has been practising at the Supreme Court for three decades. He was elected president of the SCBA for the 2019-20 term and then reelected for the current tenure. He had earlier served as general secretary of the association.
