ANDM Considers Changing Name and LogoSeptember 13, 2018 - The Amhara National Democratic Movement (ANDM) is discussing plans to change its name and logo by taking into account the achievement levels of the Movement, according to FBC report. According to Office of ANDM’s Central Committee, the following names are proposed for choice: Amhara People Democratic Party (APDP), Amhara Region People Democratic Unity Party (APDUP), Amhara People Democratic Organization (APDO), and Amhara People Democratic Movement (APDM). The ANDM, like the other three parties forming the EPRDF, has been going through a lot of change internaly. The ANDM played a king-maker role in the rise of Dr. Abiy Ahmed as Prime Minister of Ethiopia by giving all of its votes to theOPDO leader. And like the Oromo People's Democratic Organization (OPDO), the ANDM has renounced many of decades old pholosophy it held within the EPRDF.
