In the rescheduled election, Four aspirants, Uba Sani, General Sani Saleh, Shamsudeen Shehu Giwa and Usman Ibrahim participated in the primary with Uba Sani seems to be in clear lead. While, Senator Shehu Sani boycotted the rescheduled election describing it as a Kangaroo exercise. As delegates from the seven local government areas that made up the senatorial district voted on Saturday, findings gathered that Uba Sani was in early lead.
