Reuters then reported ATA IMS had been charged with four violations of minimum standards for worker accommodation, while it was being investigated on the complaints of forced labour. In mid-December, ATA IMS appealed to the government to drop the charges, saying any infractions were caused by 'challenges presented during the pandemic'.
