KARACHI: Aafia Movement Pakistan leader Dr Fowzia Siddiqui has said that her sister, Dr Aafia Siddiqui, wants to return home and a recent statement of Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal seems to be based on some misunderstandings. In a statement on Wednesday, she said that according to her knowledge, Pakistani Counsel General Ayesha Farooqui had met Dr Aafia a few days back and Dr Aafia had told her that she wanted to return home. She had also requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to play his role so that she could come out of this jail, where she faces both physical and sexual abuse. She requested the prime minister to take notice of such statements and seek clarification from FO. Dr Fowzia Siddiqui further said the Aafia family once again requests the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan to play an active role for early repatriation of Dr Aafia.
