MUMBAI: BMC has put on hold the permission given to actor Aamir Khan to amalgamate four flats at Marina Apartments on Pali Hill with an internal staircase. "BMC gave permission four months after it was sought. "Work shall not be carried out beyond approved plan and existing plinth of building shall not be lowered," it said. The approval letter also asked for "indemnifying'' BMC against any damage, risk and nuisance during construction.Last year, the society had permitted Khan to carry out repairs. It said the "building is in advanced stage of damage with major structural distresses observed in some of the columns and beam."
