Ababu Namwamba and Salim Mvurya are among 10 politicians the ODM disciplinary committee has expelled for defecting to Jubilee Party. Budalang'i MP Ababu quit his ODM secretary general post and later formed Labour Party of Kenya, through which he intends to unite Luhyas. The MPs could lose their parliamentary seats if the Registrar of Political Parties ratifies the decision of the party's disciplinary committee. Kisii MPs Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache North) and Simon Ogari (Bomachoge Chache) earlier rejoined ODM weeks after decamping to Jubilee Party.
