Abandoned Cambodian passenger jet finally to be auctionedVietnam will auction a Boeing aeroplane which has been abandoned at Noi Bai International Airport for 10 years by a Cambodian airline. The Ministry of Transport has been assigned to organise the auction and the money from the auction will go to the state budget. Until November 2014, the Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation informed the CAAV that Cambodian authorities have revoked the licence for operating the abandoned aeroplane previously granted to Royal Khmer Airlines. The ill-fated Boeing B727-200 in fact had its aircraft registration removed in October 2008 by Cambodian authorities. The Cambodian State Secretariat of Civil Aviation said Vietnam can deal with the abandoned aeroplane.
