But the Horticulture Building, located just across the street from the Aberdeen Pavilion, is significantly smaller than the pavilion at 17,600 square feet. The Aberdeen Pavilion was built in 1898 and named in honour of the governor-general of the time, the Earl of Aberdeen, an avid supporter of the agricultural fair movement.
