Mr Abhisit said Amlo's action had sent a clear signal to voters around the country about the consequences of electing candidates with criminal backgrounds. Despite the Democrat Party's strong performance in several opinion polls, Mr Abhisit expressed concern about a rising trend of vote-buying in the region.
