Born in Oslo to a Ghanaian father and Norwegian mother, Kwarasey chose to represent Ghana at the international level and went on to earn 24 caps for the Black Stars between 2011 and 2016. After a successful playing career that saw him feature for clubs across Europe and the United States, including Strømsgodset, Portland Timbers, Rosenborg and Brøndby, Kwarasey transitioned into roles that combine sport management and community development. In addition, Kwarasey serves as International Relations Manager for the Kenpong Football Academy, working to build bridges between Ghanaian football talent and opportunities abroad. Off the pitch, Kwarasey has invested in his local community through business ventures, including a restaurant and fitness centre that showcase Ghanaian culture in Norway.
