Metro Railway has promised additional trains connecting Howrah with Salt Lake for the 49th International Kolkata Book Fair. Around 20 nations are set to take part in the fair, which commences on January 22. “On our request, Metro railway authorities have decided to increase the frequency of the metro service. Visitors must scan a QR Code to get it,” said Sudhangshu Sekhar Dey, president of the Guild. One of the major attractions of the book fair, the Kolkata Literature Festival, will be held in the SBI auditorium on January 24 and 25.
