By Jaime Llinares TaboadaAegon NV on Thursday reported a narrowed loss for the third quarter of the year, although its operating result declined, reflecting adverse claims in the U.S. The Dutch insurance and asset-management company booked a net loss of 60 million euros ($68.9 million) for the quarter compared with a net loss of EUR418 million for the third quarter of 2020 and a net profit of EUR849 million for the second quarter of 2021. The third-quarter result included a one-time charge of EUR470 million, related to management actions to release capital. Aegon's operating result fell 16% on year to EUR443 million.
