The change came into effect today (February 25) and the airline is warning all customers to make sure they have the correct travel documents for their flights. Aer Lingus told Newsquest: “All customers (including Irish or British nationals) travelling on Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional services between the Republic of Ireland and the UK will now require a valid passport or Irish passport card.”What’s more, the other forms of photo ID, including a driver’s licence, “will no longer be valid for travel”, the airline explains.
