General News of Tuesday, 24 February 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, has called for a full parliamentary probe into the circumstances that led to the death of a hit-and-run victim, Charles Amissah, after he was allegedly denied emergency medical care at three major hospitals in Accra. “Mr Speaker, with your directive, summon the Chief Executive Officers and the heads of the emergency units of the three hospitals involved. "They should establish conclusively whether the 2018 Ghana Health Service directive was breached and finally determine whether professional misconduct or negligence occurred. Beyond the hospitals, Afenyo-Markin also turned attention to the individual who knocked down the victim and fled the scene. He urged the Ghana Police Service to intensify its manhunt and bring the driver to justice.
