India’s top privateer rally rider was never under any illusions of how tough the Africa Eco Race was going to be before he even left India. The Africa Eco Race – running since 2009 - is arguably the most grueling cross-country rally in the world, running through the same punishing African desert terrain that spawned the Dakar Rally in 1978. No amount of modification would allow it to stack up against the weapon of choice for most privateer rallyists, the KTM 450 Rally Replica. Particularly since the Africa Eco Race was just Raorane’s second navigation-based rally and first after over a year. The KTM Rally Replicas carry 30 litres.
