African countries acquire over 70 mln doses of COVID-19 vaccines: Africa CDC


You are here:视频播放位置 下载安装Flash播放器ADDIS ABABA, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Some 52 African countries have acquired about 70.4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines so far, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said Thursday. The Africa CDC, the specialized healthcare agency of the African Union, said around 1.19 percent of Africa's population have received a full vaccine regimen. Some 53.3 million of the total 70.4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, the Africa CDC said. The North African country Morocco has so far administered 19.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, accounting for 24.9 percent of the country's total population, it was noted. South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Ethiopia and Egypt are the countries with the most cases in the continent, according to the Africa CDC.
