The Pan-African Writers’ Association (PAWA) has decorated the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, with the prestigious Noble Patron of the Arts Award. As many of us are aware, Aare Afe Babalola has paid his dues, having served at various times as a pupil teacher, secondary school teacher, vice-principal, university lecturer, economist, auditor, administrator, farmer and educationist. “Aare Babalola has capped this long and meritorious service with the founding of Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), an institution which boasts a beautiful campus, first-class infrastructure and an enviable record of producing generations of graduates, scholars and professionals.
