Portfo­lio fall vacant after Federa­l Minist­er Ali Muhamm­ad Khan Meher passed away last monthISLAMABAD: Minister of State for States and Frontier Regions (Safron) Shehryar Khan Afridi has been given an additional charge of anti-narcotics. The portfolio had fallen vacant after Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Sardar Ali Muhammad Khan Meher passed away last month. The decision to give Afridi the additional charge was taken during a cabinet meeting. Afridi said he was thankful to Allah Almighty and to Prime Minister Imran Khan for reposing trust in him and assigning him the new responsibility. Alhamdullilah, I am humbled to core for the additional responsibility of Ministry of Narcotics Control along with SAFRON.
