In a new interview, Fumita Ueda explains that he and his team at genDesign are in the early stages of a new project. Talking to Famitsu, Ueda has revealed that they are testing out various new ideas to see if they will be interesting or not. Supported by the Kowloon Nights game fund, the team is currently in the prototyping phase. What seems different here is that Ueda and his team want to work out the core parts of this new project first and then make it into a stable product. Not to mention avoiding ending up with a functionally discordant game in the same way The Last Guardian was.
