AN agency under the Department of Agriculture (DA) with a mandate of mechanization will explore possible areas of cooperation with Hungary in the field of modern agriculture. This, as a delegate from Hungary visited the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) headquarters in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija last November. Deputy Director of PHilMech Ronaldo Sebastian Reyes led the agency in welcoming the Hungarian delegation. It has three units devoted to agriculture and food: Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences; Faculty of Agriculture and Economics Studies; and Faculty of Food Sciences. The visit also included a brief tour and briefing on PHilMech technologies displayed at the technology demonstration area of the agency.
